On October 22, 2010, during the Ontario Centres of Excellence Inc. Annual General Meeting taking place at Royal Ontario Museum, Smart Rotor Systems Inc. showcased multiple prototypes of a leading edge technology capable of reducing noise and vibration on helicopters, along with a scaled down models of composite material rotor blades. During the event a co-founder and CEO of Smart Rotor Systems Inc., Kostyantyn Khomutov was awarded a 2nd year renewal of Martin Walmsley Fellowship for Technological Entrepreneurship.
The Honourable Glen Murray, Minister of Research and Innovation, as well as OCE Chair David McFadden and Dr. Tom Corr, President and CEO, updated the status of the various initiatives, and they were on hand as the winners of OCE’s Mind to Market Award presentation were announced along with recipients of the Martin Walmsley Fellowship for Technological Entrepreneurship.
Minister Murray expressed just how impressed he was with the caliber of OCE-supported companies such as Smart Rotor Systems Inc. In his speech he reflected the Ministry’s strong, practical focus on taking Ontario’s innovations global.
Smart Rotor Systems Inc. demonstrated its innovative technology to a steady stream of participants – the majority of which took time to learn more about the company and its leading edge products.
